Beyond the River is a sports movie portraying the victory of human minds in a canoe race held in the Republic of South Africa. During the three-day Dusi Canoe Marathon, allegedly the toughest canoe race in the world, the two men get close to each other while going through a series of barriers and accidents. Inspired by the real story of a gold medal team in 2014, the latter part of the film in particular is full of thrills that will make your heart pound. Craig Freimond, one of the representative directors of South Africa, presents a dynamic canoe race with beautiful South African nature as a background, using a wide range of color variations.
