Accountant Bill Blake travels to the extreme western frontier town "Machine" only to find his job has been taken by another man. Lost and badly wounded, Blake encounters an outcast Native American， named Nobody, who believes that Blake is actually the dead English poet. With Nobody′s help, Bill travels into situtations which are in turn comic and violent, transforming him into someone contrary to his nature - an outlaw, a killer, a man whose physical existence is slowly slipping away.
