Andre Hazes: She Believes in Me is a film about music, love and loneliness. Hazes has been filmed over a period of ten months, performing in venues both large and small. But this film also captures him at home, with his wife and their two kids, in the garden and at the pool, with his small circle of friends, and with his parents-in-law, who appear to be his greatest fans. The film is no biopic of Hazes′ musical career, nor is it a typical music film filled with archival material. Instead, we are allowed a glimpse into Hazes′ present life. We get to see him at ease among his fans, lonely in his house full of gold records, struggling with the pain of two failed marriages, emotional over the death of his parents, stressed by the pressure of a big concert.
