Program Note
Another daring docu-drama from the director of <Actresses>. At the end of December 2011, the director has been offered to make a 10 minute PR short film for a new smart phone. He uses the opportunity to experiment a drastic idea to add a fictional situation to a real one. He invites to his set about 20 actors and directors including Youn Yuh-jung, Kim Min-hee , Kim Ok-bin, three actresses from <Actresses>. However he never shows up on his set and directs the film from remote location using internet and mobilephone. While director E, J-Yong remote-directs this feature docu-drama from Hollywood, there is a fake director who directs a 10 minute short within the docu-drama. The director within the film is also often absent on set because he goes out to see his new girlfriend. Gossip is a natural course of action for certain. This brilliant idea creates a very interesting situation where all the actors, producer and crews played by above mentioned actors enjoy themselves chitchatting over the director. Overhearing their conversation is a very special pleasure. (JEON Chanil)
