Director Park Songyeol and actor Won Hyangra’s Beyond Love’s Horizon stands out among this year’s Vision selection as the film where the conditions of life and cinematic structure meet with the utmost honesty, precision, and strength. Following the arrival of a baby into the couple's universe, the film humorously explores, steadfastly observes, and ultimately embraces the daily lives and labor, and above all, the shifts occurring along their modest 'love's horizon.' Free from self-pity or any vanity, simply by living through the present moment together, Park Songyeol and Won Hyangra demonstrate a way of balancing life and cinema that earns the jury member’s warmest and most passionate support.
