Jury Commentary
The jury of the Heart of Eurasia Award is honored to present this year’s prize to RIA (2026), directed by Arvin Alindogan Belarmino. With courage, compassion and uncompromising honesty, the film portrays a woman who transforms personal pain into resistance against social injustice. Its emotional truth speaks across borders and reminds us of the power of cinema to build understanding between cultures.
