Producer Kwun Jeong-in, who passed away in January 2026, loved her work more than anyone and always aspired to be a great producer. A director who once worked with her said, "Producer Kwun Jeong-in was someone who recognized the sparkling dreams in people's hearts. Thanks to the power of that discovery, I too was able to become a director." Kwun Jeong-in cherished others' dreams of making films and inspired the passion and possibility needed to bring them to life. In her memory, the ‘Jeong-in Award’ has been created together with the Busan International Film Festival. This award is given to one Korean film in the Vision section that will remain in the audience's hearts as a sparkling dream, with a cash prize of KRW 10,000,000.
In the film’s final scene, Eunju hums a lullaby. Even without the promise that tomorrow will be better than today, there seems to be faint hope extended toward those who quietly live on their lives. Supporting director Oh Sehyeon’s vision—which boldly engages with the very essence of cinema: that a film must immerse into the reality and audiences’ lives—we proudly present the first Jeong-in Award.
